Pastor Leonard A. Ravenell, Jr. is a native of Buffalo, NY.  He later relocated to Latta, SC where he received his formal education in the Dillon County School system graduating with honors.  He then pursued higher education receiving his Baccalaureate in Religious Studies with a minor in Jewish Studies from the College of Charleston located in the heart of Charleston, SC.

Elder Ravenell received Christ at the age of 12.  Over the next few years, he would be afforded the opportunity to speak at various church programs as a lay person.  After hearing the voice of the Lord in a clear vision, he began his preaching ministry at the age of 16 at the Marshill Bible Way Church in Dillon, SC under the leadership of Bishop William Swindler.  The Lord placed Isaiah 6 upon the heart of the teenager and instructed him to do two things… “Read and Do.”  It is from this text that the foundations of the healing and deliverance ministry of Pastor Ravenell exists.  Upon graduation from high school, he was formally licensed to preach at the Mount Zion AME Zion Church under the pastorate of Rev. Dr. Alton Pegues in Augusta, GA.

In 2001, while a student at college he joined The Life Center of Charleston under the leadership of The Most Reverend Brian D. Moore who ordained him to the office of Elder in 2010.  Elder Ravenell has served his church in the role of Youth Pastor, teacher in the Life Center Institute, which he would later direct, and Pastor of Christian Education.  He has served the national church as the assistant national Youth Pastor, assistant Christian Education Pastor and as a member of the Board of Examiners.

Elder Ravenell is persuaded that the Word of God is able to completely renew any life and that the believer should be pursuing daily renewing of their faith like the precious dew of the morning.  It is to that end that he relentlessly searches the Scriptures and seeks the Lord for revelation that will transform lives completely knowing that God takes pleasure by saving those that believe on the "foolishness of preaching.”  A published author Pastor Ravenell seeks to shed light on the severe importance of the believers’ responsibility in their own person walk with Christ.  In his book A Living Sacrifice, he expounds on that topic. Situating each text in its proper context so that revelation will arise that brings total deliverance to all who would hear the declaration of the Holy Writ of God.
